ResponderEliminarSometimes, when we first hear an artist, we are not moved. And so we stop paying attention to that artist, until years later something happens, and it all clicks! Ormandy was an artist like that for me. And also Antal Dorati. I remember getting his Nutcracker and thinking it was too formal without enough "give". And so, just like that I stopped listening to Dorati. Now some 30 plus years later, I discover first, that his Tchaikovsky wasn't so bad, in fact it was quite good; and secondly, I've been missing some wonderful music-making! Only now it's not always so easy to find his recordings. So this is just a long way of saying "thank you" for another wonderful share!
