ResponderEliminarThank you very much for this extraordinary upload. I especially liked the Dies Irae, which I think points to Britten's War Requiem. Did Benjamin know Reger's work? Who knows. In any case it is wonderful.
ResponderEliminarThank you for the Reger Requiem, Odeon. Reger is one of my favorite composers: he is careful, rigorous, and takes music making very seriously. I welcome all that. Like Taneyev, Reger is sadly underrated by those who favor more frivolous stuff. I'm so pleased to see your having many postings for both composers. Perhaps some who are new to their music will come to love it.
